My mom has a few beautiful specimens of this plant in her home in Central America. She gets so excited when they bloom. I would love to purchase a plant for her to enjoy in the States. Where did you find it?
ReplyDeleteAt a meeting of the Epiphyllum Society of America. This plant is more tender than the hybrids and did not fare well with our cold inland valley winters, so I gave it away to someone who lives along the coast.

ReplyDeleteI have this plant and have been watching it bloom for many years. It does well in mid to southern Florida with minimal care, but should be placed in filtered shade areas, never in full sun. It may be cold sensitive as well, but I have not had any issues with it in Merritt Island, Orlando or Ft. Myers areas.
